Blog 6: February Wrap-up

I finished a total of 2 books in February...

Hello, I am back this week with this month's wrap-up. I am going to tell you guys about what I read this week and how many books I read this month. As you can guess from the subtitle, I didn't actually read that much. The books I finished this month were The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. Today I actually finished two books and I am happy. The books that I finished are called A Winter's Promise by Christelle Dabos and City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty. I actually enjoyed both of them. City of Brass is a book inspired from the middle-east and it was very interesting. I don't really read any books that are inspired from the middle-east, so I really loved this book. I am planning to read the second one soon and I will have a review for the second one too.

Now lets move into the more exciting part of this blog. I have chosen the first book I will read in March. It's called Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor. Muse of Nightmares is actually a second book of a series. This will be the first time that I will do a review about a sequel. I am very excited. I can talk about how the second and final book got better or worse than the first book. As usual, this book is fantasy and young adult. I want to start reading some books recommended by teacher that will get me into reading more books that I don't like reading about. If I am able to finish Muse of Nightmares quickly then I might move on to a new book, but that could also me impossible.

Summary (Might contain spoilers)

Sarai has lived and breathed nightmares since she was six years old.

She believed she knew every horror and was beyond surprise.

She was wrong.

In the wake of tragedy, neither Lazlo nor Sarai are who they were before. One a god, the other a ghost, they struggle to grasp the new boundaries of theirselves as dark-minded Minya holds them hostage, intent on vengeance against Weep.

Lazlo faces an unthinkable choice—save the woman he loves, or everyone else?—while Sarai feels more helpless than ever. But is she? Sometimes, only the direst need can teach us our own depths, and Sarai, the Muse of Nightmares, has not yet discovered what she's capable of.

As humans and godspawn reel in the aftermath of the citadel's near fall, a new foe shatters their fragile hopes, and the mysteries of the Mesarthim are resurrected: Where did the gods come from, and why? What was done with thousands of children born in the citadel nursery? And most important of all, as forgotten doors are opened and new worlds revealed: Must heroes always slay monsters, or is it possible to save them instead?

Love and hate, revenge and redemption, destruction and salvation all clash in this astonishing and heart-stopping sequel to the New York Times bestseller, Strange the Dreamer.
